This is an interactive piece where the viewer can reflect on different memories induced by short prompts and unique flavors. I use food in my work to enact memories, nostalgia, and hopefully joy. My work has a playfulness to it that creates a safe space for my audience. I hand made the gum and chose flavors that will evoke thoughts from the viewer. I want people to be able to leave their mark as they finish thinking about their response. Placing the gum shows participation in something bigger. The gum wrappers are screen-printed on mulberry paper and have thought provoking questions on them, each flavor has a different question.  Each piece of gum represents someone’s memory and thoughts.
