In my work with mold making, I created ceramic donuts to explore the relationship between food and ceramics. Donuts, a symbol of indulgence and impermanence, are reimagined in a lasting, tactile form. By casting these familiar treats in ceramic, I highlight the contrast between the temporary nature of food and the durability of ceramics, blending the everyday with the enduring. This connection reflects how objects tied to consumption can transcend their fleeting purpose and become lasting works of art.
